Vintage Trucker Hat
Trucker hats are something similar to baseball caps and also known as "Gimme caps" or "feed caps". These are called "Gimme" caps because they were give away caps given to truckers as a way of promoting their company by certain farming supply companies. The difference between a trucker hat and a baseball cap is that the latter is made of cotton fabric while trucker hats are made of foam and a plastic mesh. These trucker hats carry the logo of a company in front of it.
These vintage trucker hats represent that age old custom but these days they contain different logos are pictures unlike the earlier ones. The vintage trucker hats bear the logo of the company of the name of the company on the front of the cap over the foam either as a printed design or a sewn patch. By the early 2000's these became a trend or a symbol of fashion and everybody started wearing these caps. But what should be noted is that, anybody may wear a cap but it is not possible for someone to become a trucker overnight. This is every truckers pride and still original trucker hats are used as promotional items.
